Northgate’s 27-hole golf course is a challenging venue for friendly and social competitions for all levels of golfers. Designed to appeal to high and low handicap golfers, Northgate’s golf calendar features MGA (Men’s Golf Association), LGA (Ladies’ Golf Association) and SGA (Senior Golf Association) competitive tournaments throughout the year. Rounding out the club’s golfing scene are mixed social golfing events and just plain golf with family, friends, and guests.

Parents and the club’s Golf Professional staff actively support and encourage Junior Children Golf play. With a wide variety of activities including monthly Junior tournaments, Junior summer camps and Adult-Junior tournaments, we believe these activities teach our children good sportsmanship and respect for rules and etiquette. Many of our Juniors have achieved competitive success through their golfing experiences at Northgate resulting in various awards and scholarships.

When the men and ladies of Northgate are not competing within their golf associations, Northgate’s golf Pros keep our golfers active. With holiday tournaments held on the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving, husbands, wives and children all compete in relaxed sociability. Following these holiday tournaments, lunch buffets are served while the Pros tally the scores. A low key and hugely popular regular golf event that was organized to bring golfers together for early afternoon golf is the Dog Fight. This event was requested by members some years ago who wanted to establish a group of golfers to play in an ongoing weekly event. The original Wednesday Dog Fight proved to be such a big success that another Dog Fight on Friday was added to accommodate additional members wishing to participate.

For couples wanting to enjoy relaxed sociability and low key competition Northgate has organized once a month Couples’ golf. During the summer months, Couples’ Golf is played every Sunday.
